Teresa is a writer, librettist, lyricist with a background as a performer in devised physical theatre.   Her focus over the last few years has been on musical theatre and opera and her libretto for  ETHEL SMYTH: THE STORMY PETREL concert with composer Chloe Knibbs has been in performance  at the University of Surrey and Warwick Arts Centre during spring 2026.  She is also the librettist for THE WALL, composed by Chloe Knibbs performed in recitals of songs by Purcell and new works, including Warwick Arts Centre and Birmingham Conservatoire, during 2025 and 2024. Her libretto for SACRED THREADS formed part of Laura Reid’s song cycle SONGS of HOPE in a beautiful Audio Walk for Tête à Tête Festival around Regents Park and its surrounding area in 2023 and has been performed in concert since.     

Teresa is currently writing a new adaptation of a musical based on Woyzeck by Georg Büchner which is in development for production in 2026.

In 2022 she devised GHOSTWOOD, an Immersive VR Project for the Mayor of London’s Liberty Festival (Albany Theatre July ‘22) working with Immersive Technologist Carl Guyenette (War of the Worlds, Somnai) as Concept Writer, Lyricist and Creative Producer; and MINI-BREAK a One Act Opera Libretto for composer and Hallé orchestra violist Victoria Bernath in the LOST AND FOUND productions (Royal Opera House and Casco Phil – St Pancras International 8th March ‘22); she wrote the words for UNSUNG a Song Cycle for Chinese Composer Sun Keting (commissioned by Conrad Sclar, Bermondsey Project Space ’22) which is now available as a recording on Bandcamp; Opera Libretto for ONE CUP OF MILK & NEW GENUS ( Tête à Tête). She is also the book and lyric writer of THE WIND SINGER musical, based on the ‘Young Adult’ novel by William Nicholson (RSC Residency/Performance) composed by Sarah Llewellyn.Teresa’s music theatre Cross-Art includes Karaoke Soundscape, developed for Travers and The Mermaid of Dokk1 (Aahus, Denmark).

Teresa has written book and lyrics for two musicals with composer Steven Edis: POSSESSED a Pre-Raphaelite Musical Play (Camden People’s Theatre, with workshop performances at the Arts Theatre London and Oxford Playhouse) and a musical adaptation of Dodie Smith’s I CAPTURE THE CASTLE (developed and  premiered at Watford Palace Theatre in 2017 which toured to Oxford Playhouse and Bolton Octagon, with workshops at the National Theatre Studio and the Theatre Royal Drury Lane). Edis and Howard’s songs have been performed in cabaret and musical theatre festivals in both the UK and USA.

Additonal projects include a new musical with Steven Edis, the libretto for a new song-cycle with composer Chloe Knibbs and the development of a radio play.

Teresa is also a Dramaturg and Mentor and has worked for the Literary Department of the Royal Court Theatre, and been a lecturer and mentor for new musical theatre writers.
